Psychological Evaluations in Seattle — Autism, ADHD, Learning & More

If you have been searching for answers — for yourself or your child — you are in the right place. Getting an accurate psychological evaluation is one of the most important steps you can take. It brings clarity where there has been confusion, and opens the door to the right support, accommodations, and understanding.

I am Dr. Salloni Nanda, a licensed psychologist in Seattle with over 8 years of experience providing comprehensive psychological evaluations and neuropsychological testing for children as young as 2 through adulthood. I offer in-person evaluations at my office and telehealth psychological evaluations across all of Washington State.

Currently accepting new clients — no referral required. Results typically available within 4–6 weeks.

Psychological Evaluations I Offer

I provide thorough, individualized assessments across a range of concerns. Unlike a brief screening or checklist, my evaluations are comprehensive — designed to give you a complete and accurate picture along with clear, actionable recommendations.

Autism Evaluation — Children and Adults

I provide autism evaluations for children ages 2 and up through adulthood. Autism looks different at different ages and in different people — particularly in girls and women, who are often missed or misdiagnosed. My autism evaluations in Seattle are designed to capture the full picture, not just the most obvious presentations.

Many adults seeking autism testing in Seattle face long waitlists or have been turned away by clinics no longer accepting new patients. I am currently accepting new clients for adult autism evaluations, with results typically available within 4 to 6 weeks. Adults who have always felt different and are finally ready to understand why are welcome here.

ADHD Evaluation — Children and Adults

ADHD is one of the most commonly missed diagnoses in both children and adults — especially in girls, women, and adults who developed strong coping strategies early in life. A thorough ADHD evaluation goes well beyond a symptom checklist. I assess attention, executive functioning, memory, processing speed, and the impact of symptoms on daily functioning at school, work, and home.

I evaluate for ADHD in children starting at age 4 through adulthood, including adults who were never diagnosed in childhood and are now seeking answers.

Neuropsychological Evaluation

Comprehensive neuropsychological evaluations provide a detailed assessment of cognitive functioning, including memory, attention, processing speed, language, and executive functioning. These evaluations are useful when you need a thorough understanding of how someone thinks and learns — including for school accommodations, treatment planning, or diagnostic clarification.

Learning Disability Evaluation

I evaluate children and adolescents for learning disabilities including dyslexia, dyscalculia, and other reading, writing, and math difficulties. My evaluations include a comprehensive assessment of cognitive ability alongside academic achievement and produce school-ready reports with specific recommendations for classroom support and accommodations.

Giftedness and Twice-Exceptional Evaluation

Some children are both gifted and have a learning disability, ADHD, or autism — a profile known as twice-exceptional. These children are often misunderstood in school settings because their strengths mask their challenges and vice versa. A comprehensive evaluation can identify both sides of the profile and lead to a much better educational fit.

Anxiety and Mood Evaluation

When anxiety or mood symptoms are significantly impacting a child’s or adult’s functioning, a formal evaluation can clarify the diagnosis and inform the most effective treatment approach. I evaluate for anxiety disorders, OCD, depression, and related conditions.

What to Expect From the Evaluation Process

My evaluations are thorough, individualized, and completed in a warm and supportive environment. Here is exactly what the process looks like:

Step 1 — Free 15-minute phone consultation

We start with a brief call to talk through your concerns, answer your questions, and determine whether an evaluation is the right next step. There is no obligation and no pressure. This call is about making sure we are a good fit before you commit to anything.

Step 2 — Intake interview

A thorough interview with you — or with parents for child evaluations — covering developmental history, current challenges, medical and school history, and what has prompted you to seek an evaluation now. For adult evaluations this interview covers your full life history and current functioning across multiple areas.

Step 3 — Testing sessions

Testing typically takes one to two appointments depending on the type of evaluation. I use standardized, validated assessment tools appropriate for your age and the questions we are trying to answer. Sessions are structured but conversational — most clients tell me they felt more comfortable than they expected.

Step 4 — Scoring, interpretation, and report writing

After testing I spend significant time analyzing the results and writing a detailed, clinically sound report. My reports are written to be genuinely useful — not just a list of scores, but a real explanation of what the findings mean and what to do with them.

Step 5 — Feedback session

We meet to walk through the results together. I explain the findings in plain language, discuss the diagnosis if one is supported, and provide clear and specific recommendations for school, therapy, workplace accommodations, or next steps. You will leave this meeting with a thorough understanding of the results and a clear path forward.

Most evaluations are completed within 4 to 6 weeks of the first appointment.
